Speculation about Zidane's long-term future persists and it appears that uncertainty might be addressed as, on Thursday morning, the club posted a website statement which said the boss would speak to the media at 1pm local time (12pm BST).
"I don't see myself continuing to win this year and I am a victor, I don't like to lose", added Zidane, who was under contract with Real until 2020.
Real had called a surprise press conference at noon where Zidane was joined by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
