Cavs talk day after Game 3 loss against Warriors

Another chance was wasted, and the season is now just about over.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are down 3-0 heading into Friday's Game 4 of the NBA Finals against Golden State.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are on the brink of suffering an NBA Finals sweep after going down 3-0 to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night. As Ben Rohrbach of Yahoo Sports noted, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith said on First Take that LeBron James would have a conversation with Golden State regarding his own impending free agency this offseason. "We have another opportunity on Friday to win on our home extend the series". We know throughout the course of a 48-minute game, there are going to be plays where it was miscue here or a miscue there.

LeBron James tallied a triple-double (33 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds), but missed a number of baskets that he normally makes.

Playing at home for the first time in nearly two weeks, the Cavaliers jumped on Golden State early - opening up 12-point leads in both the first and second quarters. The Cavaliers had that tonight, with Kevin Love working well in the post and finishing with 20 points.

In a game where Stephen Curry was terrible and Klay Thompson was only slightly better, the Warriors still never felt like they were going to lose a game where Kevin Durant was an emotionless assassin. I got us winning the series, that's my prediction... He had 24 points, eight rebounds in the first half. But third quarters have kind of been our Achilles heel all year. I think my guy had three or four of those.

Arsenal in shock Marouane Fellaini move with free transfer talks due
Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini could be on his way to Arsenal in a shock free transfer. Fellaini has also been linked to Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille.

Offensive rebounding: Cleveland can beat the Warriors on the glass, and the Cavs did just that in Game 1, getting 53 rebounds to just 38 for the Warriors.

Cleveland made an early push to turn Game 3 into a blowout, but Durant's spectacular shot-making wouldn't let that happen.

They were asking for trouble.

Asked who he was staring at, Durant said: "I don't remember". That's what this team does.

So this series is just about finished, or at least, that's what the history books say. No NBA team has ever recovered from a 3-0 deficit in the Finals. Not even the most optimistic Cleveland fan could expect that to change in the coming days. But since being traded to Cleveland in mid-season, he's been hard to find on the court.

The shot resembled the dagger three-pointer he hit in Game 3 of last year's Finals. The Celtics were already fringe contenders without Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving this summer; it seems insane to say this out loud but would they even want to mess with their juju to bring LeBron in?
