Police sources say that before Heather Locklear was taken into custody for the psych hold last week, she got into a public fight with her fiance in a parking lot near her Westlake home.
Investigators had learned that Locklear had a gun registered in her name, and after hearing this went to seize the weapon. Upon arrival, officers found that Locklear was "heavily intoxicated" and arguing with another person.
Locklear told officers that Heisser had been choking her to the point where she believed she was about to lose consciousness and pass out. According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, a family member contacted authorities after the actress allegedly became irritable and irrational after drinking alcohol to the point of intoxication.
The new arrest comes one week after she was hospitalized following a 911 call and four months after she was arrested under similar circumstances in February. She was aggressive and even attacked her mother.
