White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders on Wednesday brushed back criticism of President Trump's controversial tweet urging Attorney General Jeff Sessions to end the Russian Federation probe, telling reporters he was merely voicing his "opinion".
In one tweet he said Attorney General Jeff Sessions "should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now, before it continues to stain our country any further".
Mr. Trump's belief that an interview would bring the probe to a swift end ignores several realities: that the probe sprawls into areas beyond his behaviour; the possibility that Justice Department officials will hand over the results of the investigation to lawmakers to decide whether to proceed; and the lack of any public indication from the special counsel about how much work he has ahead of him.
Six Republican senators going into a vote on Wednesday disapproved of Trump's tweet calling for an end to the probe.
"These kinds of threats are no accident". Homeland security chief Kirstjen Nielsen says: "Our democracy is in the crosshairs".
It is quite clear that the president's idea of Sessions ending Mueller's investigation did not go over well with Democrats.
Google Lays Down the Law on Notches
While we have seen the number of notched Android phones growing increasingly this year, consumers are still divided on the notch. Many users have shared aggravation over the feature, but with Google's latest development all such worries shall be put to rest.
Trump has steadily attacked his attorney general for recusing himself from the Russian Federation probe in March 2017.
"The President of the United States just called on his Attorney General to put an end to an investigation in which the President, his family and campaign may be implicated", said Democratic congressman Adam Schiff.
Rosenstein in turn appointed Mueller and is the person with the authority to fire him.

Sanders said Trump wants Mueller's investigation concluded swiftly without intervention, though Trump has publicly mused as recently as May about interfering in the Department of Justice's oversight of the probe.
Trump has harangued Mueller for including too many Democratic investigators and even made wrong claims about what precipitated the Russian Federation investigation.
Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani told reporters on Wednesday that "we're in the process of responding to their proposal", and Trump is willing to agree to an interview if ground rules can be set. Heather Washkuhn, who worked for Manafort for eight years, told the court Manafort was "very detail oriented".
"I don't know why Rudy seemed to think that obstruction by tweet is a insane notion", Rodgers said.
