Donald Trump attacks LeBron James in late-night tweet

"He's doing an incredible job for his community".

Following the interview on Friday evening, Trump sent out a tweet attacking the intelligence of interviewer and subject alike, saying that Don Lemon is the dumbest man on TV and that it's not easy to make LeBron James look smart.

In the interview Trump referenced, James talked to Lemon about his recently announced I Promise School, a public elementary school in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, created for at-risk children.

Speaking to presenter Don Lemon, the La Lakers star had accused the U.S. president of using sport to try to divide the nation along racial lines.

The president ended his tweet by saying "I like Mike!" - seeming to side with Michael Jordan in the debate over whether he or James is the greatest National Basketball Association player of all time.

First Lady Melania Trump contradicted her husband Donald Trump a day after United States President slammed basketball star LeBron James for his charity work.

Another important individual standing on James' side is anchorman Lemon, who took it upon himself to clap back at Trump in the support of the four-time MVP.

Kiffin retweeted a story from Sporting News about Melania Trump praising LeBron James for opening his I Promise school. "I like Mike!" Trump tweeted.

A Wildfire in Northern California Is Now the Biggest in State History
Almost half of the 10 largest California wildfires on record have occurred in the past decade, according to Reuters news agency. Firefighters are unlikely to see some respite. "That's what we're trying to prevent", Austin said. "Everything is still dry".

"In response, a spokeswoman for Melania Trump said that the first lady watches 'any channel she wants, '" the Hill reported.

James has been critical of the president and his administration in the past, and his dislike of CNN has been well established.

In the same interview, James said he thought Trump was using sports to sow division in the US.

Jordan responded to the President's tweet shortly afterwards, commenting, "I support LJ".

Trump's tweet prompted an outpouring of defense for James, the latest of which comes from the first lady. James also said that he'd "never" sit down for a meeting with Trump.

James has been a vocal critic of Trump since he took office.

"As I have said before- Its the biggest compliment you can get", he added. The sports commentator Bill Simmons tweeted: "LeBron is a smart dude (and one of the most thoughtful athletes we have) - this is a bullshit tweet and feels more than a little racist".

President Donald Trump made no mention of LeBron during a rally in OH over the weekend, but it's safe to say that he's big mad.
