Gmail app rolls out 'Confidential Mode' and self-destructing messages

Gmail Brings Confidential Emails to Mobile

Gmail Confidential Mode Rolling Out, Password Protect Attachments...

Google has been silently rolling out new features and changes in design to its Gmail app on both iOS and Android devices.

Once you've updated your Gmail, open the app on your phone. The feature was initially announced during Google's I/O developer conference earlier this year but had remained mostly out of the news in the meantime. They can use confidential mode to set an expiration date for messages or even revoke access to the message at any time. Gmail introduced the Confidential Mode for its users to facilitate communications involving sensitive information over mail, a feature in high demand given the current concerns regarding data security. From here, tap compose confidential mode (it's the padlock icon with a clock on it). On the correct version-and/or if the switch has been flipped for you-when you send an email you'll get notification down at the bottom of the screen. Hence, you can easily send emails and projects as an attachment. Google didn't say when the feature will roll out to iOS users, but there's no reason it won't come eventually. This mode is helpful and safe for all your personal information and private chats that you want for safe-keeping. If you don't see it, try downloading the latest 8.7 release from APK Mirror and give the Gmail app a force close. Without it, they can't open the email. If you're now not seeing the new option in your Gmail, it means you might have to wait a few days. Tap the three dots on the right top corner to choose "Confidential Mode". Also, recipients of the confidential message will have numerous options that might compromise it disabled, so they won't be able to forward, copy, print, or download the message.

Both the Sampdoria and Genoa teams had already announced they wouldn't play their matches this weekend but at a later date. Yesterday, thousands of people mourned 18 victims at a mass state funeral held at the Fiera del Mare exhibition centre.

Also, confidentiality could be compromised if the recipient is using a malware-infected computer. Just check the menu if you want to know whether you have received the update or not. In fact, these settings can be altered even after the mail has been sent, by simply visiting the sent item from the sent folder.

While confidential mode could help prevent information leaks, Google notes a few caveats. Here you need to enter the recipients' number.
