Patriots signing former 1st-round pick Corey Coleman

Report: Patriots signing WR Corey Coleman

Patriots' wide receiver search gets weird

In recent weeks, the New England Patriots reportedly worked out two wide receivers who were previously cut by the Buffalo Bills, Corey Coleman and Brandon Reilly.

The team lost Jeremy Hill to a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's victory over the Texans, but otherwise emerged unscathed from the season opener.

Coleman, a first-round pick out of Baylor drafted 15th overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2016, was traded during training camp to the Buffalo Bills.

New England's updated wide receiver group is Dorsett, Patterson, Coleman, Fowler, and Chris Hogan.

Marcus Rashford got ahead of Alexander-Arnold with the eye on goal , but flashed his effort way off target on 26 minutes. But tonight the teams will go head-to-head at Leicester's King Power Stadium instead of the national stadium.

Farrow was signed during the final week of the preseason to take carries in New England's finale at the New York Giants. He finished with 33 receptions for 413 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games his rookie season, and 23 receptions for 305 yards and two touchdowns his sophomore campaign.

The Pats have struggled to find reliable targets for quarterback Tom Brady this season at the receiver position, especially without Julian Edelman, who was suspended for the first four games of the season. The team later made the signing official.

Barner spent 2017 with the Philadelphia Eagles and had 16 rushes for 57 yards and a touchdown.

Barner was originally selected in the sixth round of the 2013 draft by the Panthers.
