Tesla has begun building its own car-carrier trailers to help catch up with a Model 3 delivery backlog.

Tesla Direct isn't limited to customers near the automaker's Fremont, California factory. The potential customer who got the $3 000 discount offer said he was told if he took delivery of a Tesla before month end, he also would get free supercharging for life. Customers in Los Angeles are receiving emails offering to deliver cars directly to their homes and offices for free.
