"In the Ryder Cup, we haven't".

The fan lay on the ground after American golfer Brooks Koepka's opening shot at the sixth hole of the tournament veered off target and struck her just above the eye. As I said, we were in control of the match being 2 up, but we just didn't make any birdies coming in. Sergio Garcia, one of the all-time Ryder Cup greats, justified his captain's pick, and Alex Noren didn't look much like a rookie, as the Europeans leaped out to a seven-hole lead by the turn.

The 42nd Ryder Cup opened amid a cacophony of noise as nearly 7,000 fans created a remarkable atmosphere around the first tee.

Ian Poulter and Rory McIlory, who was badly off form in the morning, came from 2-down to triumph 4 and 2 over Webb Simpson and Bubba Watson in a game that had the massive crowds finally roaring after they had little to shout about in the morning.

Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari, who won Europe's solitary fourballs point, completed a memorable day by smashing Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas 5 and 4.

Adultery grounds for divorce, not criminal offense
The law gives a husband exclusive right to prosecute his wife's lover - and does not grant a wife power to do the same. The bench held that adultery can be treated as civil wrong for dissolution of marriage.

It's the first time in Ryder Cup history that Europe has won all four matches in a foursomes session (they've won all four in fourball twice).

After not playing in Friday morning four-balls, Watson and Simpson were the only US pairing to take a lead in afternoon foursomes.

Brooks Koepka and Tonu Finau led off for Team USA, and Finau's adrenaline was certainly pumping as he hit a three-iron off the tee which travelled over 300 yards and would have toppled into the water had it not been for the wooden sleeper surrounds on the left of the fairway. He followed with a 35-foot birdie putt, crouching to watch as it broke into the cup. Logically, Finau and Koepka will be paired together again Saturday morning, and then all 12 players from each side will compete in Sunday's singles matches.

Johnson missed a five-foot par putt to fall 1-down through eight holes.

The rout began early for the United States, with the power pairing of Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler combining to play 16 holes in 3 over par to drop a 3-and-2 decision to Henrik Stenson and Justin Rose.
