The NASCAR Cup race on Sunday is the main attraction, and fans can bet on the race victor, the first two stage winners, and a slew of prop bets that range from number of drivers to lead a lap to the average race speed.

"We had a penalty there early and fell behind, but luckily we had a good enough vehicle and a good enough strategy to come back", Elliott said after thanking his team owner Rick Hendrick.

Fans and bettors lined up at the kiosk hours before the race started to wager on more than just the victor of Sunday's race.

If the race at Charlotte to close out the Round of 16 was any indication, points are at a premium and even one position (worth one point) in any race can be the difference between a driver moving on to the next round and seeing his hopes to hoist the Cup dashed until next year.

In several races during the 2016 and 2017 seasons, Elliott lost the lead on late-race restarts.

Johnson's bid for a record eighth NASCAR Cup title ended last week when he was eliminated from the playoffs.

Only eight races ago, Elliott collected his first Cup series win on the road course at Watkins Glen, N.Y. on August 5th.

Dover starts the next three-race playoff round that includes Talladega and Kansas, with eight drivers advancing.

Manchester United keen on making January bid for Aaron Ramsey
Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace each while Aaron Ramsey was also among the scorer. It has been ten years since the Gunners signed Ramsey as a teenager from Cardiff City.

With what was eventually diagnosed as a lower ball joint failure, Johnson took his auto to the garage for repairs and didn't reappear on the concrete until the Gander Outdoors 400 was 10 laps old.

Elliott's win gave him automatic entry into the next round of the Cup Series playoffs.

Rain washed out NASCAR Cup qualifying Friday at Dover International Speedway. "We'll study and see how that goes, but I think we'll have some rules in place for sponsorship, for what betting looks like, and continue to see what happens in the landscape overall".

"On that restart I tried to at least go where they weren't to the top and the 11 moved up to kind of block me and I just got really tight off of two and I bounced off the fence and got into Brad and tore up a lot of racecars along the back straightaway".

"I think this only elevates his game", Gordon said. "We always have super-fast superspeedway cars ..." He had that race won. "I'd love to win at Talladega".

The win comes a year after Elliott suffered heartbreak on the Monster Mile, losing a lead there with just two laps to go. Elliott put that behind him at Dover. "One or two points could be the difference in you making the Round of 4 or not".
