Clemson University President Jim Clements said on Twitter that he is monitoring the situation, and the school tweeted that student affairs representatives were sent to the hospitals where the injured were taken.
The multi-floor building had been leased out for a private event, Dixon said. Details on the extent of the injuries were not immediately available. The Clubhouse and pool area is OFF LIMITS to all.

She added: 'Turning around and seeing a bunch of people who used to be on the second floor now on the basement was really surreal and people were crying. "It was a lot to take in". Police are investigating the matter.
