Liverpool still heading in the right direction - Klopp

Jurgen Klopp reveals he staged a team meeting with his players after Champions League defeat

"The season so far-wise, points-wise in the Premier League, has been really successful", Klopp told reporters.

Liverpool are looking to bounce back from the humiliating defeat in Serbia and it is likely that Fulham will have to bear the brunt of that reaction.

Jordan Henderson, who has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury, is fit again, along with Naby Keita. Daniel Sturridge has contributed to five goals in last three Premier League games against Fulham for Liverpool (4 goals, 1 assist). "We have to build on our situation, we have to get better, to get more confidence out of the season".

An already intriguing match-up between two attack-minded teams - albeit with very different results - has added significance after Liverpool's 2-0 defeat at Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

"Then you get other information, analyse things twice and then think maybe that is not how I saw it on the pitch".

"We all struggle a bit in the last game but it's not too important, I don't make a big fuss of it, or on the other side I don't celebrate performances after when we win a good one".

UK PM faces fury of Northern Irish allies over Brexit
A Downing Street spokesman said the prime minister would not agree to "anything that brings about a hard border on the island of Ireland ".

"I know it's not easy playing against a really fast counter-attack like their three front players, but we must look for our chance, be courageous, and show the mentality at the end, for fighting, for running with them, for challenging with them, and for a chance to win".

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "I'm not sure how many Fulham games you've watched over 90 minutes - not only Match of the Day or a summary of stuff like that - but this is a really unusual situation for Fulham". It's certainly something he was comfortable doing in the run in last season. Last season, we would suffocate teams through our precise passing, and if they tried to press us, they would rarely be able to keep it up for 90 minutes. Saying that in a week when we lost an away game at Red Star Belgrade doesn't sound really good in most people's ears but it is still like this and now we play Premier League. We need to be more motivated and be ready for a fight, be ready for battle.

Alisson will start in this one, and with hopefully fairly little defending in the game, can continue to be involved more from a passing standpoint. "If we are confused, scared and play like kids, it is not easy for any team".

Hopefully, Fulham can try to revert back towards old ways on Sunday. We use the good things and work on the less good things.

No side in the Premier League have conceded as many goals as Fulham so there could be an opportunity for the Reds to find the back of the net a few times, but nothing should be taken for granted.
