Tekashi 6ix9ine is one of many "new-school rappers" who have a long list of controversies that follow are synonymous with their names.

Daniel Hernandez, better known as 6ix9ine, was arrested in New York City on Federal charges on November 18, TMZ reports and Pitchfork has confirmed with the U.S. Lawyer's office. The feds believe Tekashi himself pulled an armed robbery on April 3 along with his ex-manager, Shottie, and 2 other members of the Nine Trey Bloods. They also claim 6ix9ine was present in an incident at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, where one of 6ix9ine's rivals fired shots at another vehicle.

The authorities also arrested three of Hernandez's former associates, Kifano "Shotti" Jordan, Jensel "Ish" Butler and Faheem "Crippy" Walter.

The group 'enriched themselves by committing robberies and selling drugs, such as heroin, fentanyl, furanly fentanyl, MDMA, dibutylone, and marijuana'.

Page Six reports: 'Tekashi is a member of a violent sect of the Bloods, ' said Assistant US Attorney Michael Longyear.

'Multiple victims' in Chicago hospital shooting
There are "reports of multiple victims" , police say - but they have not given a number or said how severe the injuries are. Witness Steven White told CNN's Ryan Young that he was in the emergency room when he saw the shooter firing at police.

"The defendant is quite violent", the prosecutor said of a man whose debut album, Day 69, was among the most downloaded records on iTunes.

Mr Longyear said a backpack stolen during a gunpoint robbery in April was found during a raid at the 22-year-old's home in Brooklyn, along with an automatic pistol.

There's also this. prosecutors expressed Monday just how much of a target Tekashi had been prior to his arrest this weekend.

Last month, Hernandez was given four years' probation after pleading guilty to a 2015 case in which he made and distributed a sexually explicit video with a 13-year-old girl that he then posted online.
