Here’s everything Google announced at CES 2019

Google is introducing a preview of Assistant Connect a platform for device manufacturers to bring the Google Assistant into their products in an affordable and easy-to-implement way

Amazon has sold more than 100 million Alexa devices

Thus, the giant Internet company plans to double the use of Google Assistant which settled around 500 million users as of May 2018. Google also partnered with Choice Hotels, AccorHotels, InterContinental Hotels Group, Priceline, Expedia, Mirai, and Travelclick, allowing users to book a room using Google Assistant.

Thankfully, Google is putting its generosity cap on and is committing to porting some of its most important apps over to Bixby, including Gmail, YouTube, Google Maps, and even Google Play.

Google has a competitive advantage over Amazon thanks to Android.

Today before their huge booth opens at CES 2019, Google announced a pretty incredible statistic regarding the Google Assistant: it's about to become available on over one billion devices worldwide.

So for example, a device manufacturer could use Assistant Connect to display the current weather and temperature on a smart thermostat, while using Assistant Connect to actually get and display all the data from a connected device, say a Google Home.

China confirms trade talks with United States beginning Monday
The International Monetary Fund estimates that China's economy grew about 6.6 per cent in 2018, down from 6.9 per cent in 2017. Auto sales tumbled 16 percent in November over a year earlier and weak real estate sales are forcing developers to cut prices.

China's Baidu said on Weibo that its virtual assistant DuerOS now reached over 200 million devices, Techcrunch reported. Amazon's Alexa is already working on several Sonos-models. (And you may decide to get that capability disabled for security reasons.) Once you do, you'll be able to set alarms, schedule reminders, check your calendar and other tasks you previously had to unlock your phone to access.

We'll be bringing you hands-on of as many products as we can hunt down but Google has also previewed some really great upcoming features as well as new forms of the Assistant that will be hitting the market over the next few months.

Along with a few other smart additions to the already plenty smart Google Assistant, the Assistant Connect feature has been announced at CES this year and what it aims to do is bring the ability and power of Google Assistant to more devices used in day-to-day life in an low-cost manner.

No matter how you look at it, it's going to be a good year for connected devices.

If not for the fact that it comes preinstalled on Samsung's newest phones, Bixby would have probably ended up a desolated service.
