Ms Markle had already lost her personal assistant Melissa Touabti, 39, in December and private secretary Samantha Cohen, 49, also left in November. The unnamed officer was responsible for protecting Markle, and occasionally Prince Harry, during public events like their recent tour of Australia.
"Unlike someone who has grown up in the Royal Family and has been used to having close protection from an early age, it can be constraining", a source reportedly told the outlet. "Even though [Meghan] was a famous actress, she could still do what she wanted in the way of getting around freely".
The bodyguard's name has not been identified, but insiders claimed that she is leaving the police force entirely.
