MWC 2019: Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 & Mi 9 Launched at Competitive Prices

Xiaomi showed off its newest model - and a revamped 5G model of last year's phone - at Mobile World Congress, along with some ridiculously fast wireless charging, 48MP cameras, and holographic phone coatings. The Mi MIX 3 5G is not a different smartphone and is basically the Snapdragon 855 powered smartphone with Snapdragon X50 5G modem. Also, since we're on the subject of 5G, the upgraded Mi MIX 3 isn't going to cost all that much, so it should come as a sigh of relief for future customers.

The Mi MIX 3 5G has all the things you love from the regular Mi MIX 3 but swaps out the Snapdragon 845 for the newer and more powerful Snapdragon 845 processor. It starts at €599 - just €100 more than the non-5G version. It now features a Snapdragon 855 chipset which has Qualcomm's X50 5G modem. In other words, it can download a 15-minute 1080p video or 26 MP3 songs in one second. As a reminder, the Mi Mix 3 features an all-screen design with minimal bezels and a slide-out mechanism for the selfie cam system. In terms of storage, Mi MIX 3 comes in four variants of 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 10GB+256GB.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 features a 6.39-inch full HD+ S-AMOLED display with waterdrop notch. At the rear, the smartphone offers dual-camera setup as well with 12-megapixel wide-angle and telephoto lens. Having become the largest smartphone maker in India, Xiaomi is aiming to become a leader in Europe and is now bringing the Mi 9 as well.
