Trump's ex-fixer Cohen to offer new Russia details to U.S. Congress: source

This week, Cohen is set to make the three-day marathon of appearances before three congressional committees. Cohen is testifying on Capitol Hill for three days this week, though Wednesday's hearing is the only one that it is public.

It's Cohen's first appearance before Congress since being charged for lying to the Senate and House Intelligence Committees in 2017.

Sanders says it's "laughable that anyone would take a convicted liar like Cohen at his word, and pathetic to see him given yet another opportunity to spread his lies".

That's important because it meant Trump's camp was negotiating with Russians at the same time that Moscow was interfering in the 2016 presidential election with the ultimate aim of helping him. He is scheduled to meet Tuesday with the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Matt Gartz threatened to reveal Michael Cohen secret girlfriends ahead of his testimony to Congress.

Cohen has since acknowledged he continued pursuing the project for months after that. Davis added that Cohen "worked very hard on this moment to not only tell the truth, but to back it up with documents".

But most likely, that evidence won't be provided because the congressional testimony is "not a legal hearing", said Napolitano. But Cohen, who was uniquely situated as a former vice president of Trump's real estate and entertainment group, and could provide more details of Trump's involvement in testimony this week. But the two other panels are expected to do so in closed session. Shortly after his sentencing, Cohen agreed that before his jail term began in May he would testify before lawmakers in Washington, D.C., under penalty of perjury.

Jorge Ramos, Univision Crew Detained by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro After Interview
As reported by Mediaite , Ramos conducted an interview with Univision after his temporary detainment in the presidential palace. Kimberly Breier, the Assistant Secretary of State for Western Affairs tweeted the following statement on the Univision crew.

The accusations are related to the hush-money payment Cohen facilitated to the porn star Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence about an affair she says she had with Trump, which Trump denies.

Cohen, who is set to begin a three-year prison sentence in May, was officially disbarred on Tuesday.

Senators on the panel are expected to attend the meeting with Cohen, a departure from the committee's usual practice, where witness interviews are conducted by staff only.

Cohen is also expected to offer explanations to lawmakers about why he lied to them about the Trump Organization's plans to build a tower in Moscow.

Citing a source privy to his testimony, the New York Times is reporting that Cohen plans to testify under oath that Trump broke the law while in office.

Cohen was one of Trump's closest aides and once said he would "take a bullet" for him but he turned against his former boss a year ago and is cooperating with prosecutors after pleading guilty to tax evasion, bank fraud and campaign finance violations.
