‘No Man’s Sky VR’ Coming to PlayStation VR

During Sony's State of Play announcement stream, many games were showcased with the first being Marvel's Iron Man VR.

The game will be fully playable in VR which will include all new multiplayer content which the Beyond update will bring.

"Today's State of Play broadcast revealed release dates for a bunch of soon-to-be-released PlayStation VR games", wrote Sony's director of social media, Sid Shuman, on the official PS blog.

Whether you choose to fight, trade or explore, every decision you make has consequences, shaping your journey as you travel ever deeper into No Man's Sky.

Virtual reality feels like a science fiction become real, and has always seemed like a ideal fit for this futuristic game of ours. Made in collaboration with Camouflaj Games and Marvel, Iron Man VR will have players looking through the eyes of Iron Man himself, using PlayStation Move controllers to blast away enemies. The update helped to breathe new life into the game, which up until that point was rather boring, despite looking attractive.

When the game first came out we were awed to find out that No Man's Sky would not support any Virtual Reality experiences.

Unlike the Rift or Vive, the PS VR doesn't need a high-end PC to run off of, which helps sell it as an affordable and accessible means to get premium virtual reality experiences. Players will be able to peer out of the cockpit of their craft as they fly above unexplored planets. A small clip is played, showing what No Man's Sky will look like through VR. Iron Man VR is set to release on PS4 and PS VR later in 2019. This amazes us, and is utterly humbling. They promise that everything you can do or have access to in the regular versions of No Man's Sky will also be available in the VR version.
